Funeral for Howard Jowers, 76, of Jacksonville, was at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Autry Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Andy Fannetfe, Rev. Michael Lewis and Judge Bascom Bentley III officiating. Burial was in Earle’s Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Jowers died Friday. He was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Jacksonville. He was a member of the Jacksonville First Christian Church, secretary and past treasurer of the Jacksonville Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, former coach for little league and other Softball leagues. He served in the US. Air Force during the Korean War. His parents preceded him in death.
