Jack Dublin “Papa” Earle (12/23/1933 – 12/27/2007)

JACKSONVILLE – Memorial services for Jack Dublin “Papa” Earle, 74, Nashville, Tenn., are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Earle’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, with Dale Jamerson officiating. Burial will be in Earle’s Chapel Cemetery under direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mr. Earle died Dec., 27, 2007, in Nashville, Tenn. He was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Jacksonville, attended Jacksonville High School, where he excelled in sports and music, and attended Texas A&M University and Sam Houston State University. He retired with 35 years service with the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller and data systems specialist. He was active in the development of the FAA Conflict Alert System.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Earle, Ashland City, Tenn.; sons, Steve Earle, Nashville, Tenn., Mark Earle, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Pat Earle, Joelton, Tenn.; daughters, Kelly Meers, Carver, Mass., and Stacey Earle Stuart, Ashland City, Tenn.; brother, Neil Earle, Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
