Ray Neil Earle – 5/14/1935 – 8/29/2016

A funeral service for Neil Earle, age 81, of Jacksonville, is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Earle’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Lester Foreman and Rev. John Tessaro officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Selena at Earle’s Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Earle passed away Monday, August 29, 2016.

Neil was born May 14, 1935 in Jacksonville to Milton and Jewel Earle He was a long time member of the Jacks and Jills Square Dance Organization. Neil worked at the Compass Center for JISD and was a bus driver for Rusk ISD. He also worked for Campfire Charcoal Co. He was a supervisor at the Texas Basket Factory. Along with his brother, he was in the produce business. Neil was a member of Earle’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Neil was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Selena Earle; brothers, Arlon and Jack Earle; and sister, Bettye Raines. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Terrie Propes and husband Turner of Henderson, Andrea Earle of Jacksonville; son, Wade Earle and wife Joan of Pendleton, OR. There are three grandchildren, “T.C.” Propes and wife Kim, Tommy Propes, Abby Earle; four great-grandchildren, Marc Yarish, Josh Propes, Caleb Propes and Leanna Yarish; and several nieces and nephews. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mark Turney, Paul Earle, John Earle, Ted Hunt, David Earle, Milton Earle, Bobby Mims and Turner Propes, Jr. Visitation will begin on Friday, September 2, 2016 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the Earle family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
