Truman Wyatt (11/2/1920 – 6/17/2014)

Funeral services for Truman Wyatt, age 93, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Dale Jamerson and Rev. Nick Sholars officiating. Interment will be at Earle’s Chapel Cemetery in Jacksonville. Mr. Wyatt passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Jacksonville.

He was born November 2, 1920 in Frankston. Truman retired from the Air Force as a Lt. Colonel after 24 years of service. He was the manager of Gibson Store in Jacksonville, active with Jacks and Jills Square Dance Club, and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Amanda Wyatt; first wife, Louise Wyatt; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Laura Wyatt of Jacksonville; daughters, Diane Schraub and husband John, of San Antonio, Cynthia Ferguson and husband Bob, of Pearland; six grandchildren, Christopher Schraub, Allison Shafir, Jennifer Bailey, Kelley Marshall-Hall, Taylor Payne, and Wyatt Ferguson; six great-grandchildren, Wesley Schraub, Carley Schraub, Ari Shafir, Rory Bailey, Brody Hall, and Ruby Mae-Payne; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chris Schraub, Wesley Schraub, Wyatt Ferguson, Jay Bailey, Cory Payne, and Gary Wellborn. Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 19, 2014 with family receiving friends from 6-8p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
